Hand Painted Kitchens

Classical Kitchen Furniture

We were asked to build a very traditional, comfortable, family kitchen in a large early Victorian house in Shaftesbury.

The four oven Aga in an inglenook is the centre of this kitchen, additional worktop space is provided by an island unit and a butchers block. The painted units give a soft homely character, which offsets the slate floor and granite worktops. There is an Oak table and large Dresser/TV unit in the family dining area.

New Forest Kitchen

1. A delightful cottage in a new forest village is the home for this painted kitchen. The unusual colour of the existing apple green Aga gives the illusion of bringing the garden into the room. Worktops are dark granite with green and ochre hues and the whole is pulled together by the warm colour of the travertine flagstone floor.

Basement Kitchen

2. This semi-basement kitchen in a terraced town house has the benefit of large full height french doors in the open plan family area to the rear. The centre island with radiused ends has an occasional dining facility.

Apartment Kitchen

3. This very compact kitchen can be found in a city apartment. The classical very traditional painted furniture works as well in this environment as in a large country house.
